To enhance the health and well-being of Canada’s people, environment and economy, CFIA is a federal regulatory agency dedicated to safeguarding the food supply and the plants and animals upon which safe, high-quality food depends. CFIA administers regulations to prevent the introduction and spread of pests and diseases among agricultural plants and animals (and their products) and to eradicate or control those pests and diseases as required.
CFIA Programs with SWI Data Requirements
- All CFIA programs have SWI submission requirements. CFIA programs include Animal Health, Feed, Fertilizer Safety, Food, Plant Health, Plants with Novel Traits, and Seeds.
